Numerology?

I've always been the type to have a curious mind so I'm always reading and finding new things that interest me. Ive always been big on astrology which deals with zodiac signs, horoscopes aligned by planets, the moon, and stars, it amazes me. Recently Ive stumbled on numerology, now this is more about numbers that all tie into your own personal strengths, weaknesses, and personality by life path, soul urge, and desires.

Here's how it works:
My Birth Date
and adding

07/23/1991

7=7
23=2+3=5
1991=1+9+9+1=20=2+0=2

Take the underlined numbers and add

7+5+2=14
1+4=5

5 is my life path number!

People with life path numbers of 5 have characteristics of: Body, sensuality, conflict, the five senses, fingers and toes, able to learn and teach from direct experience, health, expansion, fecundity, grounded in the world, challenges faced in learning from experience. Freedom-loving, activity, influence, adventurer, sensualist, promoter, natural flair, vivacious, courageous, healthy, sympathetic, motivational, change, idealistic, unconventional, curiosity, magnetic, intellectual, telepathic, experience, pleasure-loving, vitality, visionary, expansion, opportunity, story-telling, imagination, individualism, healing, choice, mercy, kindness, invention, resourceful, magnetic, competitive.

Lyfe Jennings In DC

On Saturday I went to go see Lyfe Jennings at the Howard Theatre in DC! Let me tell you... THIS MAN put on a show, not only did he have a beautiful voice with crazy range for a guy, but he was funny, chill and so personable with his audience. His opening acts where on point as well, Crystal Nicole known for writing top songs for Monica, Rhianna, Beyonce and really the list could go on was amazing. Her voice gave me goose bumps! I've been wanting to go to a concert so this was right on time. My friend surprised me and wouldn't tell me where we were going for a whole week! The show started at 8 and I made sure I enjoyed myself.

The stripes were definitely not intentional lol

Thick Twist!

I was wearing my hair like this for months and everyone loved it! I was tired of wearing my natural hair (it happens) so I went to the beauty supply store and brought 4 packs of Marley braiding hair and put them in myself, just to try something new. Before I put them in I deep conditioned which made the whole process about 7 hours! Maybe next time they will be easier to do. I liked how these thick Senegalese twist looked natural on me and especially when they got older I loved the worn in look. Some people actually thought my twist were dreads...

(Sorry for the quality in these pictures, they are horrible!)

So I did my co-workers hair and it turned out great, all together she brought 6 packs of hair, 4 Marley and 2 Kanekalon. I did her hair early this morning at 8am and it only took 4 hours and some change compared to my 7! She still had 1 back left.

I'll make this my little side hustle..gotta save up for a car! I'll be doing someone elses hair next week. The twist are so versatile, I would do little up-dos and side swoop bands and on top of that itss a protective style to give my hair a break. I will definitely be doing them on my hair again, but not right now I'm enjoying mine!

What's In My Hair?

What I've been using for the last two months on my hair...that's it.

  1. Shea butter mixed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  2. Cream of Natures Jojoba & Olive Oil Deep Conditioner
  3. Cantu Shea butter Natural hair curling cream
  4. Jamaican Castor Oil
  5. And of course WATER

I'm learning to just keep it simple with my hair. Patience, patience...but I still can't wait till the day my hair is bra strap length WITH shrinkage. Am I dreaming??

Natural Hair: BLOWOUT

So I decided to blowout my hair yesterday for the second time since becoming natural and I'm excited to know my hair is doing well and growing since I clipped my ends (it makes such a difference) Before I blow dried my hair I did a egg, honey, and Shea butter deep condition let that sit for 30 min. then rinsed and did a deep condition for 20 min. with Cream of Natures Jojoba & Olive Oil treatment.

MIX
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons Shea butter(melted)

BENEFITS
Eggs: Are protein for your hair leaving your hair strengthened, preventing breakage and making your hair shiny with volume.

Honey: Contains fructose and glucose that help nourish the hair and retain moisture providing hydration. Also good for an itchy scalp.

Shea butter: Softer, smoother, manageable hair, great for moisturizing and promoting hair growth. Shea Butter can help with color treated hair, and dry and damaged hair.

Eggs, honey, and Shea Butter can also be used as a face mask!

Oohh Ghana!!

Its been toooo long! Ghana was such an experience, the weather..Ghanaians..food..the villages..just the whole environment! People who have been to Africa before could really relate to how different it is from the US. I got to take a tour of the Slave Castles, visit about 5 schools, learn how to trade at the market, try new foods and so many other interesting things. Though I was so out of my element I was really excited to just be there and really be away from, "home". People there are so much nicer, disciplined, giving and accept patience... to me it was almost like they considered each other as family and just willing to help the random guy down the street. Its crazy how in the US I complain, WE complain.. about things so minor that don't even matter, when there are people who really struggle EVERYDAY, no running water, huts as homes, no new shoes for school and still smiling. Its really amazing, I'll definitely be back there next year.
